How to find the right panel clamp for your wood paneling:
Posted by Lucas Novak on
If you want to install wood paneling on your ceiling or wall, choosing the right mounting bracket is crucial. There are two options to choose from, depending on your preference: an open joint installation or a 0 mm joint. At Früh, you'll find a wide selection of panel brackets for both options.
For open joint installation, we recommend screw claws with a groove depth of 5.5–9 mm and a groove thickness of 3–7 mm. The joint width can vary between 5 and 20 mm, depending on requirements.
If you choose a 0 mm gap, we offer fastening clips with a groove depth of 6.5–9 mm and a groove thickness of 3–7 mm. Both options are suitable for panel and acoustic boards with a groove-to-groove profile.
It's important to know the groove thickness and groove depth of your wood to select the appropriate mounting bracket. The groove thickness (B) describes the back stringer that will be attached to the ceiling or wall, while the milled groove depth (A) must match the groove depth of the mounting bracket.
Open joint installation is particularly suitable for acoustic ceilings, as it allows for better sound dispersion and thus provides increased sound and noise insulation. Installation with a 0 mm joint is more suitable for private residential construction, allowing for the quick and easy installation of visually appealing wood paneling.
By using the appropriate panel clamps from Früh, you can install your ceiling or wall paneling without nail heads or filler, thus achieving an invisible fastening. Installation is always carried out on a wooden substructure.
If you're looking for an alternative to traditional installation methods, we'd love to hear about using the Früh drywall rail. This method allows you to attach the panel clamps directly to the drywall rail, saving you time and hassle. We estimate a time saving of approximately two-thirds.
At Früh, you'll find the right mounting bracket for your wood paneling. Feel free to contact us if you have any further questions or need help choosing.
